This policy explains what information is collected when you visit sandrafernandez.co.uk or contact me directly, how it is used, and your rights under UK data protection law. It is straightforward, because so is this website.
Sandra Fernandez, operating as a sole trader and Data Controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can reach me at hello@sandrafernandez.co.uk with any questions or requests.
When you contact me by email or WhatsApp, I receive the personal information you choose to share — typically your name, contact details, and the nature of your enquiry. This information is used solely to respond to you and, where relevant, to arrange and deliver services. It is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes or sold under any circumstances.
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics software, or advertising. This website is hosted by Netlify, who may log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited as part of normal hosting operations. This data is held by Netlify in accordance with their own privacy policy and is not used to identify or profile visitors.
Where I process personal data, I do so on the following bases under UK GDPR: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to respond to enquiries and manage my practice; and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to arrange consultations or working arrangements at your request. I do not send marketing communications, so consent is not a basis I currently rely on.
Enquiries that do not lead to a working arrangement are kept for up to 12 months, after which they are securely deleted. Records relating to active or past clients — including correspondence, preferences, and invoices — are retained for up to 6 years following completion of services, as required by HMRC and UK tax law. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
This website does not set any cookies. Netlify may set strictly necessary technical cookies as part of delivering the website. These do not track you or store personal information.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, restrict, or request deletion of any personal data I hold about you. You also have the right to object to processing and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please write to hello@sandrafernandez.co.uk. I will respond within 30 days at no charge.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
